The Passion

My name is Russell Kopp and I have been working as a cabinetmaker for over 40 years trading as Kopp A Cabinet. With my wife Anne I have been creating unique Forest Furniture from our forested block in the South West of Western Australia since 2000.

I love timber. I love working with its warmth and texture, and its unique colours. I enjoy living in the forest, and knowing that when a tree dies on my property I can turn it into something that my customers can enjoy for generations.

The Process

I source the highest quality Jarrah, Marri and Blackbutt unique timbers from the south west of Australia, treating it with the respect it deserves to create furniture designs that are functional, durable and desirable. From a four poster bed to a coffee table, to reception counters to entire kitchens, I have the resources, the techniques and the passion to create unforgettable furniture designs.

The Environment

I generally harvest my timber from fallen trees on my property and around my home. I mill it, treat it and store it until a project comes along that is perfect for it. This is the most sustainable way to create furniture. If you ask me to source a different type of timber, I will find the most environmentally friendly supplier I can.

Thankyou. We will respond as soon as possible.

When I decided to create Stonebarn Boutique Accommodation I had a vision. It was all about a natural warmth and using local timber and stone to create a unique experience for visitors.  Russell and Anne Kopp understood and shared my vision and together we created a series of beautiful four-poster beds with matching bedside tables, complemented by linen chests, all from solid jarrah and marri timber, only found in the South West of Australia.   The furniture is stunning and admired by all of our guests.  Forest Furniture achieved exactly what I envisaged, I cannot recommend them highly enough.  Dion Rangé
